It’s a lot easier to complain about how something is being done than it is to actually do something to help it. I was convicted of that this week: when you’re wrong, you’re wrong.
I spent much of my time this week thinking about my last post and I spent a lot of time talking to God about it as well. Not that I didn’t do that before. But sometimes God let’s you go a little further before he lets you see what he really wanted you to understand. Nothing bad happened mind you, this wasn’t some crazed parent at your kids sporting event thing, more like a misunderstanding. Whatever the case was, what he showed me was that often times we see problems or potential issues and instead of controlling our frustrations (and/or tempers) and offering a helping hand we decide to give up rather than stand up.
Does that make any sense?
In other words: never forget that there is always something going on that you may not know about. We all get tired and worn down but that should never be an excuse to give up on one another or to leave each other behind. Furthermore I pause my very breath thinking about what if Christ had done that to us.
Sobering to think of that way.
Offering a hand or any support really, to those out there who are doing the heavy lifting often does a lot more than what you may think. Nothing is perfect-especially when it’s run by fallible humans, but it is up to us to decide to lift one another up or destroy one another.
I choose to be build so I’ll go grab a shovel; or as Dr. Charles Stanley said once “Finish the race stronger than you started.”
We’ll talk again after church tomorrow.
