Enough with the doom and gloom

I’m tired of people/gamers saying that games suck right now. I don’t think it’s healthy to constantly bash new releases or developers. Sure, it may not be like it was in the past, but it’s nothing to scoff at. There are plenty of good games to play. We just need to come out of our comfort zone and try something new.

Now don’t get me wrong. If a game is bad or has issues or whatever, it’s our duty to say something. Part of the reason people feel the way they do is because big AAA games haven’t exactly lived up to the hype. However, companies like Capcom are doing extremely well with their AA level games. Budgets have gone up drastically, so companies are afraid to take the plunge of huge AAA games.

Look what happened to Concord. All that time and money and for what? DEI in gaming isn’t helping either. Sweet baby inc, I’m looking at you.

Basically, we have plenty to play. My backlog of games is huge, both for my Series X and my PS5. The trick is you’re going to have to take a chance on some of the smaller games. Gone are the days of huge big budget games, or at the very least the amount of them will dwindle.

I say all of this to say that we should look around the gaming marketplace and try something different, something new. The games are out there, you just need to look.
