My case for Trump

In a few short weeks, Donald Trump will become the 47th president of the United States of America. My vote helped him get there. Along with millions of other Americans who voted, our combined voices put him back in the white house, and I couldn’t be happier.

Say what you want about Trump (and there’s plenty to say) but to me, the undeniable reality is that he loves this country. No matter what the left threw at him, he never gave up. He took a bullet for this country. That says something to me. His personal wealth and businesses have been harmed, and his family has been dragged through the mud. Time after time he stood back up and continued to fight for the American people. All without taking a salary.

Trump has things about him that aren’t good. For example, his marital infidelities. We can all agree that that’s bad, but we are all flawed. His wife forgave him so for me that’s all that matters. He most certainly isn’t the first president to have done so. Presidents Kennedy and Clinton come to mind. As a Christian, I recall Kind David and his struggles with women. He even had a man killed to cover up his sin, yet God called him a man after his own heart. The point being that we can’t put people up on a pedestal. We all have sinned and fall short of what God what have us do. Leaders are flawed just like the rest of us.

He also has a lot of things that I like. For starters, he has no filter. I don’t have to read between the lines to get what he’s saying. He just says it. Some may say that he’s crude, but I find it refreshing to have a politician who doesn’t speak like politician. I also think that he’s hilarious. And I also like the way he isn’t afraid to be pro-American on the world stage. Other leaders know not to mess with him/us, something that the Biden administration lacked. His policies make sense and as far as I recall America was doing great under his first term.

I could go back and forth going over good and bad aspects of the president but that would be self-defeating. When it comes down to I, like President Trump. Flaws and all. Regardless of what you think, he’s our leader and as patriotic Americans you should want him to do well. I didn’t like the Biden administration, but I still prayed for him. I still wanted him to do well because he reflects us. We shouldn’t wish ill of president because we didn’t vote for him. That to me is un-American.

History will decide if Trump was a good president or not. I just hope that when all is said and done that he made America great again.
